Capture
Five ways in

Record
A take, recorded with the phone tuned for singing: AAC 192 kbps, mono, 44.1 kHz, with echo cancellation, noise suppression and gain control all off.

Speak
Say the words and stop; they come back written down, with anything the model was unsure of marked. The take is kept on the song whatever the words turn out to be.

Write
Words straight into the song, with a Done bar above the keyboard so the return key can still make a new line.

Photograph
A page of handwriting, kept as an image and transcribed as written — invented words, dialect and crossings-out preserved rather than corrected.

Film
A clip, shot with the phone’s own camera in one tap. It gets its own tab on the song, because a video is not a take with pictures on it.

From the home screen
Hold the app icon and pick any of the five without opening the app first. The menu orders itself by what you use most.
Keeping
The parts of a song

Lyric versions
Every draft kept whole, newest first. Nothing is overwritten, so a cut line is always recoverable.

Takes with waveforms
Amplitudes are sampled while you record and stored with the take, so the waveform is there instantly and never recomputed.

Chords and notes
A chord sheet and a plain note per song, in the same place as everything else.

Archive, never delete
Put a song away and the drawer goes quiet; the archive wears the same layout with the warmth drained out. Bring it back whenever you like.

Sorted by what you touched
Tiles size themselves to what is in the song, and the grid animates rather than jumping when the order changes.

Search when it is needed
Search and sort appear once the drawer holds six songs, and never disappear again. Below that, your eye is faster.

Any script, any direction
Text direction is decided per field from the text itself, so Hebrew or Arabic lyrics right-align inside an English interface.

Cleanup, on your terms
A cleanup mode walks the songs nothing has happened to in a while and offers to put them away. It never decides for you.

Every draft is kept whole, a take is never edited after the fact, and the app quietly keeps a few copies of your words on the phone in case a file goes wrong.

Your face or your passcode before the drawer opens, and a single song can be locked on its own — its title still shows, so you can still find it.
